Compact Design and Fast Measurement

To meet the growing demands of multi-channel, multi-port testing of microwave and millimeter-wave systems, SIGLENT Technologies offers the SSU5000A mechanical switch with a frequency of up to 50 GHz. The compact SSU5000A delivers rapid measurements and outstanding radio frequency (RF) characteristics, featuring low insertion loss, good test port matching, and ultra-short switching time. Consisting of 1 to 4 independent single-pole double-throw (SPDT) or single-pole six-throw (SP6T) mechanical switches with SMA or 2.4 mm connectors, these switch systems are ideal for complex multi-channel, multi-port testing.

Testing Port Expansion for Network Analyzers

SIGLENT Technologies switch matrix solutions expand testing ports for network analyzers, allowing S-parameter measurements of multiple devices. Switches can be expanded to various port configurations, such as 24 single-ended ports, 12 full 2-port, 8 full 3-port, 6 full 4-port, 4 full 6-port, 3 full 8-port, 2 full 12-port, or 1 full 24-port configuration. This flexibility improves testing efficiency substantially.

Testing Port Expansion for Signal Generators and Spectrum Analyzers

When paired with our switch matrices, signal generators and spectrum analyzers can be expanded to 24 ports for simultaneous transmission and reception testing of multiple devices. To expand a signal generator in a transmission test, simply activate all 24 ports using the software. Likewise, similar operations are taken to expand a spectrum analyzer in a reception test. Switch matrix solutions significantly reduce the number of required signal generators and spectrum analyzers, boosting testing efficiency with lower costs.
