In the automatic production lines where speed drives profitability, the Digital Multimeter as core equipment in automated testing directly impacts system efficiency. On September 25, 2025, Siglent launches the SDM4065A series high-speed 6½-digit Digital multimeters. With 2,200,000 counts, fast reading rate of 50,000 readings/s, minimum sampling interval of 20 µs, 11 measurement functions, and a touchscreen with intuitive interface, the SDM4000A not only elevates individual product testing efficiency but also enhances overall production line performance in accuracy-driven automated environments.

True 6½-digit precision

SDM4065A offers 6½-digit resolution (2,200,000 counts) with a full-scale display range from -2,199,999 to +2,199,999. Its exceptional performance ensures precise capture of subtle current variations and large voltage fluctuations.

High speed Measurement

The SDM4065A series supports up to 50,000 readings/s. Both models offer adjustable measurement speeds (fast/medium/slow). For the SDM4065A, its sampling interval can be precisely configured from 0.001 PLC to 1,000 PLC (Power Line Cycle), enabling superior performance in high-speed data acquisition and micro-variation monitoring—ideal for applications requiring precise measurements.

Three acquisition modes

Continuous Sampling Mode

Constant-rate sampling enables real-time monitoring.

Data Logging Function

Supports continuous data logging for up to 100 hours with 2GB internal storage, ideal for long-term trend analysis.

Digitizer Function

Outperforms oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers in high-precision, low-frequency sampling, particularly suitable for audio signal digitization.

Advanced Math Functions

SDM4065A supports five operations: statistics, limits, dBm, dB, and relative measurements. It rapidly calculates max/min, average, peak-to-peak, standard deviation, and sample count, while enabling pass/fail testing via preset thresholds. Voltage-to-power conversion, dB-based relative measurements, and deviation analysis further enhance versatility.

Four Display Modes

SDM4065A offers four modes: Numeric for instant clarity, Histogram for data distribution analysis, Trend Chart for dynamic data pattern observation and trend prediction, and Bar Chart for cross-condition comparisons and rapid analysis of variations and patterns under different conditions, empowering users to visualize and analyze data with deeper insights.

Probe Hold

After the readings stabilize, the multimeter buzzer sounds and displays the results, automatically retains the latest eight readings for users to compare and refer to. Users can access historical data at any time for in-depth analysis of equipment performance or parameter changes, and the displayed data can be cleared with a single click.

Storage & Recall

The SDM4065A series features excellent storage and retrieval capabilities. The SDM4065A series can save up to 2 million readings. Users can easily manage instrument parameter files in the internal storage area and on external USB storage devices. It supports the storage of various types of files such as reading points, pictures, CSV/XML files. Users can perform operations like creating folders, saving screen captures, copying, renaming, and deleting files, enabling efficient data management.

Remote Control & Programming

SDM4065A integrates USB Host, USB Device, and LAN interfaces, with an optional USB-GPIB module. It supports standard SCPI remote control commands, PC-based software, and compatibility with the latest mainstream multimeter command sets. Its embedded web server enables direct remote control and programming via a browser, fulfilling diverse communication and automation needs.

Web control

The SDM4065A high-speed 6½-digit multimeters strike a balance between speed, accuracy, and stability. Whether applied in automated control system testing, power engineering, electronics manufacturing and repair, telecommunications and networking, or scientific research and education, the SDM4065A series is dedicated to delivering a new measurement experience for engineers, enabling more precise and efficient testing.

SIGLENT Launches SDG3000X Arbitrary Waveform Generator for Advanced Semiconductor Testing

Views 1141

In response to the increasing demands of modern electronic testing—from high-speed communication systems to power semiconductor characterization—SIGLENT has introduced the SDG3000X Series Arbitrary Waveform Generator. Featuring high sampling rates, deep memory, and advanced EasyPulse and TrueArb technologies, the SDG3000X delivers precise, low-jitter signal generation for complex test scenarios. Designed for both flexibility and performance, it addresses the need for reliable instrumentation in today’s evolving test environments.

September 25(th)—SIGLENT launches the next-generation SDG3000X Series Arbitrary Waveform Generator. Designed for high fidelity and high precision signal generation, SDG3000X series offers up to 200 MHz output frequency, 40 Mpts arbitrary waveform length per channel, 16-bit vertical resolution and a maximum sampling rate of 1.2 GSa/s. Featuring a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, an intuitive interface, and robust signal generation capabilities, the SDG3000X is well-suited for applications in communications, semiconductors, new energy technologies, and academic research.

High-Fidelity Signal Generation and Precision Pulse Output

The SDG3000X incorporates EasyPulse and TrueArb technologies to set a new benchmark for signal generation accuracy, which significantly improve upon the limitations of traditional DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis) waveform generation.

High precision pulse generation, flexible adjustment of edge pulse width

EasyPulse is optimized for pulse signal generation. It is capable of producing pulses as narrow as 8 ns with fast rising/falling edges that remain stable across frequency variations. It allows for wide-ranging, fine-grained adjustments of edge timing and pulse width, making it ideal tool for generating high-precision pulse signals.

Advanced Arbitrary and Complex Signal Generation

With 196 built-in arbitrary waveforms and a memory depth of up to 40 Mpts per channel, the SDG3000X provides the capacity to store and accurately reproduce complex signals. It also features a flexible sequence mode, allowing users to define playback order and loop counts for each waveform segment—ideal for custom and repetitive test scenarios.

Flexible signal generation, covering complex test requirements

It supports PRBS signal output up to 120 Mbps, baseband and IF IQ signal generation with symbol rates from 250 to 50 MSymb/s, and a wide range of modulation types including AM, DSB-SC, FM, PM, FSK, ASK, PSK, and PWM. With built-in Sweep and Burst modes, the SDG3000X delivers comprehensive support across a variety of test environments—from education and R&D to industrial power device testing.

Double-Pulse Testing for Power Semiconductors

Double-pulse testing is critical in analyzing the dynamic behavior of power semiconductor devices such as IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs, particularly for evaluating switching losses and conduction characteristics. The SDG3000X offers an ideal platform for this application.
With channel tracking and phase synchronization, users can precisely control pulse widths and timing intervals to simulate realistic switching behavior. Combined with remote control via USB/LAN, and oscilloscope synchronization, the SDG3000X simplifies the creation of automated test systems—enhancing both testing efficiency and data reliability.

Intelligent User Experience

Equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, the SDG3000X allows intuitive parameter settings and signal viewing. It supports MATLAB and Python script import and oscilloscope linkage for automatic calibration. A built-in high-precision frequency counter, along with multiple communication interfaces such as LAN, USB, and GPIB, and a built-in WebServer, ensures easy remote access and synchronization across multiple devices—streamlining workflows and boosting productivity.
