Precision RF Signal Generation Solutions

SIGLENT radio Frequency (RF)/microwave signal generators, such as SSG3000X, SSG5000X, SSG5000A, and SSG6000A, are engineered to meet the demanding requirements of high-precision RF signal testing. These models support output frequencies up to 67 GHz with a maximum output power of +30 dBm and phase noise as low as -148 dBc/Hz (with optional configurations), ensuring remarkable signal purity. With RF modulation bandwidths up to 1 GHz and support for multiple modulation types, including analog modulation (AM/FM/PM), pulse modulation, and in-phase and quadrature (IQ) modulation, they provide robust capabilities for complex signal testing. The minimalist design, user-friendly menu system, capacitive touchscreen, and remote control features establish SIGLENT RF/microwave signal generators as industry-leading solutions in RF testing applications.

Meet Diverse

Testing Needs

SIGLENT RF signal generators are available in two types of models. Analog signal generators excel in stable, pure carrier wave testing, whereas vector signal generators integrate IQ baseband for multi-standard digital modulation signal generation. They are ideal for digital signal testing and wireless communication verification in diverse complex testing scenarios.

Analog Signal Generators

Delivering outstanding RF performance with a frequency range from 9 kHz to 67 GHz and minimal phase noise, these instruments serve as precision local oscillators and reference sources suitable for testing in education and advanced research scenarios.

Vector Signal Generators

With RF bandwidth up to 1 GHz and a maximum carrier frequency of 7.5 GHz, these generators meet most communication testing requirements. When paired with SigIQPro, they enable fast and convenient generation of communication signals.

Evolving Professional Features

01

High-precision Pulse Generator/Clock Source

Generally, automotive millimeter-wave radars and EW receivers are designed to operate under extreme conditions. Their functionality and sensitivity testing requires highly repeatable signals with precisely controlled amplitude and frequency and extremely narrow pulse widths. In more complex scenarios, such as the testing of coherent processing interval (CPI) and range resolution of a receiver, capabilities to generate complex pulse trains are required.

The SSG6000A generator comes with a high-precision clock source, with optional pulse modulation, pulse generation, and pulse train generation modules. It generates pulses as narrow as 20 ns with a 10-ns resolution, and perfectly suits the testing of automotive millimeter-wave radar systems.

02

Advanced ARB Mode

The rapid development of consumer electronics requires engineers to simulate signals of various communication standards and protocols during product verification. The SSG5000X generator supports protocol file playback and comes with built-in commonly used protocol files. It can generate signals of multiple communication standards such as 5G NR, LTE, WLAN, WCDMA, GSM, and Bluetooth, facilitating the verification of general-purpose electronic devices and IoT equipment.

In ARB mode, it can generate and play waveform sequence files, create multicarrier signals, introduce real-time additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) into modulated signals for receiver testing, perform signal peak clipping with the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) curve displayed, and mark symbols in waveform files. It can also output IQ_event trigger signals for synchronized waveform playback across multiple instruments.

03

Line Loss Compensation with Power Meters

The longer the transmission cable, the larger the signal loss. To maintain optimal signal flatness before the signal reaches the device under test (DUT), flatness correction is required to compensate for the line loss caused by cables and switch impedance. In RF systems, line loss is frequency-dependent. The SSG5000X generator can operate with mainstream power meters for flatness correction across different frequencies, making it simple to compensate for the line loss.

Analog Signal Generators

These are analog signal generation models of the SIGLENT RF signal generator series. Specializing in generating stable, pure RF carrier signals, they are ideal for basic RF testing scenarios, such as carrier testing and spectrum analysis. Their minimal phase noise and low distortion ensure accurate, reliable test results.

Vector Signal Generators

These are vector signal generation models, like SSG5000X and higher-end generators. They integrate IQ baseband to generate digitally modulated signals of various standards such as 5G NR, WLAN, LTE, WCDMA, GSM, CDMA, and Bluetooth. Their versatility makes them the preferred choice for digital signal testing and wireless communication system verification, meeting diverse requirements for complex signal generation and analysis.
