Reliable Spectrum Analyzers

SIGLENT spectrum analyzers stand out as industry-leading electronic testing tools with their outstanding performance and compact design. Covering a wide measurement frequency range from 10 Hz to 50 GHz, they effortlessly accommodate applications from low to high frequencies. The lightweight body and easy-to-use interface bring a smooth and efficient user experience. Powered by advanced digital intermediate frequency (IF) technology, SIGLENT spectrum analyzers achieve a minimum resolution bandwidth (RBW) of 1 Hz. When equipped with an optional preamplifier, the displayed average noise level (DANL) can reach -165 dBm/Hz (typical value), ensuring accurate measurements of weak signals. SIGLENT spectrum analyzers are an ideal choice for R&D, education, manufacturing, and maintenance scenarios.

Signal Quality and Beam Performance Verification

When deploying 5G base stations, Internet service providers (ISPs) must verify network quality and beam performance. Field testing equipment must be capable of reading and displaying key metrics of nearby base stations, such as channel power, signal quality, synchronization signal block (SSB) index, and frequency errors across different base stations. ‌SIGLENT handheld signal analyzers integrate features for testing critical performance metrics, such as Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), and Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). These analyzers support channel power measurements of multiple signals, such as primary synchronization signals (PSS) and secondary synchronization signals (SSS). They can identify frequency drift, isolate power anomalies, and troubleshoot performance issues, allowing engineers to determine 5G and LTE coverage in specific areas during field testing and deployment of 5G base stations.

‌Interference Detection

Spectrum analyzers equipped with directional antennas have been the go-to tools for detecting and locating interference. Conventional swept-tuned and fast Fourier transform (FFT)-based spectrum analyzers are effective for detecting relatively constant signals or observing intermittent signals using the Max Hold feature. However, they tend to exhibit considerable dead time. Compared to conventional spectrum analyzers, real-time spectrum analyzers excel at capturing transient, sporadic, or random signals. SIGLENT real-time spectrum analyzers deliver up to 300,000 FFTs per second, coupled with the persistence mode. The analyzers support multidimensional observation of complex transient signals through diverse display modes such as Density, 3D, Spectrogram, and PvT. They also support waveform replay of up to 125,000 frames and incorporate frequency mask triggering. These features are particularly suited for measuring specific signals of complex, dynamically changing spectrums. The analyzers can trigger and record in-phase and quadrature (IQ) signals before and after signal events within a specified frequency range, enabling subsequent replay and analysis.
