Bode Plot Solution
Bode plots are commonly used for analyzing system frequency response characteristics. In AC signal processing circuits, signal frequencies may range from Hz to kHz and even MHz levels, and voltage gain may vary from a few times to over a million. Bode plots allow these wide variations to be clearly represented on a single set of logarithmic axes.
As a key category of semiconductor components, power devices are designed for power conversion and control under high-voltage/high-current conditions, capable of handling substantial power levels. Key power devices include diodes, transistors, thyristors, metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs), insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), and the latest SiC and GaN power devices.
Ripples are periodic voltage variations or fluctuations in the output of a power supply and are AC interference signals superimposed on the stable DC output. Measured in millivolts (mV), ripples are a component that is synchronous with the switching frequency. Ripple characteristics vary across different power supplies and can result from power supply design choices, power filter performance, load variations, or other external disturbances. Unlike ripples, noise is a high-frequency component appearing between output terminals as non-periodic random interference. Essentially, power supply noise comprises discontinuous, irregular voltage or current spikes caused by various internal or external disturbances to the system, such as suboptimal circuit design, improper wiring, and poor contact.
